    Budget for the project

Probably the most important page and I haven't got time to fill it in now!!!!

    But,

    Ball park figures....

    Hardware

    200,000 ping-pong balls @ 5.7p each (quote from TeesSport) = 12,000 pounds

Glue and paints and other hardware 3000 pounds

    Total Hardware £15,000

    Construction

    Phase one,

glue balls into pentagons, 40,000 pentagons:

    4 pentagons per minute/person 10,000 person minutes = 160 person hours = 20 person days = 4 person weeks

Pay at 150 pounds per day, on average = £3,000

    Phase two,

Phase 2 Working pentagons up into C60s and then to C-2-60 hemispheres

    Same again = £3,000

    Phase three,

Labour on site, volunteer but we need to provide food and drink for 10 people to build C-3-60 on site for 5 days

    Same again £3,000

    Total construction labour costs £9000

    Deconstruction and touring costs ??????

    Management Etc

    Magagement costs ???

    Bryson's prep time costs ???

    Fundraising costs ???

    Website ???

    Lighting ???

    Evaluation £3,000

    Total management £15,000

So, total project cost £30,000 plus £15,000 Hardware plus £15,000 Management

    Funding scheme

Research groups get 2K to fund 2 researchers to come to the festival, pay for materials and food etc. Glasto (or the project) to pay for tickets ca. 200 per head.

Project gets 3k per research group to go towards project costs.

Therefore each grant is for 5k, split 60:40 to the project

Does that sound fair or practical?

I was looking to 6 to 10 research groups, i.e. 18 to 30,000 for the project. We need to go to external funding/sponsorship for the hardware.

    Comments please!!!!!!!!!
